Pipi, formally named Tianlu, is a mythical beast hailing from China. Pixiu, specifically Tianlu, is associated with good luck and gained wealth. Petting them from their horn to their tail will bestow good fortune upon the hand, but Pipi is not exactly the most forward with letting people pet them.
Tianlu generally identifies as male, but is considered asexual for interactions with others. They don't have interest in romantic relationships with others. They will gladly make friends, but that is the limit of the interaction.
They are easily insulted if you call them a dog or canine, but after a short outburst, will usually calm down.
Pipi eats anything of value, which includes anything from expensive equipment, to jewelry and treasure, and ancient weapons. Pipi also eats normal foods, with favorites being dog food and Chicken-Mushroom stew. He also will eat living creatures, as he did grow up a wild animal in the ancient world and survived off of golden orbs and eventually other living creatures. Pipi has a great distasted for 'mud men' (humans) and will not eat them, and even dislikes their smell.
In the world of Shou You Shan, mythical beasts all have access to 21st century phones, and Pipi gladly keeps one on him. He's familiar with modern technology, but also ancient magic.
